Requirements- 0-2 years of assembly experience in an oil & gas or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience working with high-pressure components, valves, fittings, or similar equipment preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with torque procedures, sealing methods, and precision tolerance preferred, but not required.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing transactions and dealing with part numbers, quantities, locations, weights, etc.
- Knowledge of quality systems and safety standards applicable to oil & gas manufacturing.
- Ability to work cohesively with team members for training purposes and learning opportunities.
Job Duties
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and torque specifications.
- Performs light semi-automatic machine operations such as grinding, sanding, drilling, and gasket cutting.
- Assists in the pressure testing (pneumatic or hydrostatic) of some assemblies in accordance with prescribed engineering specifications and test methods.
- Builds final assemblies in conformance with assembly drawings, specifications, procedures, work instructions, and verbal instructions.
- Ensures that all products assembled operate in the manner intended by the assembly drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Assist in the pressure testing of some assemblies in accordance with prescribed engineering specifications and test methods.
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
