Local $65/hour
Travel $70/hour all inclusive
Position Overview
The client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pre-Op / PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our perioperative team. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a close-knit, rural healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care before and after surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-anesthesia (PACU) nursing care
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions before and after procedures
- Administer medications and manage pain control per physician orders
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status in the PACU setting
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Vermont or compact state)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Previous Pre-Op and/or PACU experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting
Salary : $64 - $69
