Job Title: RN – Risk Manager / Patient Safety Officer
Location: Alaska
Salary: $87,000 – $110,000/yr plus benefits
Shift: Full-Time, Days
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced RN Risk Manager / Patient Safety Officer to lead our organization-wide risk management and patient safety programs. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, oversees adverse event investigations, and drives process improvements to reduce healthcare errors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive risk management program.
- Investigate, evaluate, and report adverse incidents per regulatory requirements.
- Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEA).
- Facilitate patient safety rounds and provide staff education on risk and safety.
- Collaborate with leadership, Medical Directors, and legal counsel on quality and risk issues.
- Support accreditation, quality audits, and regulatory compliance (DNV, TJC, CMS, CARF).
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and mentor staff.
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Alaska (or applied for prior to start).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) within 2 years.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk management, patient safety, and quality programs.
- Strong leadership and collaborative skills.
