We’re looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to support a major internal systems replacement project. This role is ideal for someone who is strong in Agile environments, comfortable working closely with internal business users, and experienced turning requirements into clear user stories, tickets, and deliverables for development teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Meet with internal stakeholders and business users to gather and clarify requirements
- Support the replacement and enhancement of an internal authoring system
- Translate business needs into user stories, tickets, acceptance criteria, and clear documentation
- Document requirements, workflows, and updates in Jira and Confluence
- Partner closely with development teams during Agile sprints
- Groom tickets, manage backlog items, and help prioritize work
- Support testing, validation, and handoff of completed modules
- Help refine older requirements and align them to the new system
- Work with internal users and technical teams through system updates, cloud migrations, and feature releases
- Support a product used by roughly 100 internal users
What We’re Looking For:
- Business Analyst experience required
- Product Owner or product-focused BA experience strongly preferred
- Strong Agile experience required
- Hands-on Jira experience required
- Confluence experience strongly preferred
- Experience writing user stories, grooming tickets, and supporting sprint delivery
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders, business users, and development teams
- Comfortable supporting testing and validating delivered functionality
- Strong communication skills and the ability to keep up in a fast-moving development environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools
- Experience supporting internal customer-facing products or internal business systems
- Experience with system replacement, modernization, or migration projects
- Insurance industry experience is helpful but not required
