Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Earned Value Management (EVM) Subject Matter Expert to support large-scale, high-visibility government programs involving complex engineering and construction efforts. This role will be part of an integrated project team responsible for ensuring cost, schedule, and performance alignment across mission-critical initiatives.
The organization supports advanced testing, operations, and sustainment activities across a network of highly specialized technical facilities. These programs play a key role in national defense and require collaboration across multiple disciplines, including engineering, program management, and project controls.
What You Will Do
- Provide guidance to project teams and stakeholders on Earned Value Management (EVM) systems and project controls best practices
- Analyze EVM data to assess project performance and communicate insights to leadership and stakeholders
- Support the collection, validation, and reporting of monthly EVM metrics
- Participate in Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and other project reviews
- Develop, document, and implement EVM processes, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external contractors to ensure alignment and compliance
- Assist in resolving critical issues related to project controls systems and infrastructure as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with 12 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 5 years of hands-on Earned Value Management experience within construction and/or government contracting environments
- Experience with EVM tools such as Deltek Cobra
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and its application in construction or capital projects
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Industry certifications such as AACEi EVP, PMI PMP, or similar
