We have an immediate opening for a reliable, detail-oriented 2nd Shift Material Handler/Saw Operator to join our team in Jackson, WI. We're looking for a self-starter with strong mechanical aptitude and a solid work ethic who can help support daily production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks safely and efficiently
- Move, stage, and organize raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
- Supply workstations with required materials to maintain steady workflow
- Prepare skids, pallets, and packaging for shipments
- Accurately complete shipping and receiving documentation
- Operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse and production areas
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with production and shipping teams
- Assist with inventory counts, material checks, and stock rotation
- Operate saw equipment to cut raw materials to specified lengths/sizes
- Read and interpret basic measurements, cut lists, and job travelers
- Inspect sawed materials for accuracy, quality, and proper labeling
- Perform basic maintenance on saw equipment, including blade checks and cleaning
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent work history
- Forklift operation experience required
- Shipping/receiving experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read measurements and work with hand tools
- Basic understanding of material cutting processes preferred
- Ability to safely operate a saw (or willingness to learn with training)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and lift materials throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50lb
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic are essential
