Summary
Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) is hiring an APS Assessor to support the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. In this role, you will investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving endangered adults. This position requires on-site field investigations and travel within the following counties:
Lake, Jasper, Newton, LaPorte, Porter, Pulaski, Starke, Marshall, St. Joseph, Benton, Carroll, Tippecanoe, Warren, White, Cass, Fulton, Miami, Parke, Vermillion, Fountain
Responsibilities
- Investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving endangered adults
- Conduct interviews, review records, and collaborate with other investigative agencies
- Initiate and coordinate referrals to services and community resources
- Document investigation activities, including case notes, safety plans, and findings
- Serve as Priority A responder on a rotating schedule for cases requiring contact within 24 hours
- Ensure all assigned investigations are completed within required timeframes
- Review and respond to quality assurance evaluations

- Ability to adapt quickly to policy and regulatory changes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet applications
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and sound decision-making
- Minimum 1 year of experience in adult protective services, investigations, social services, human services, or law enforcement
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
