Safety Specialist

Join our team as a Safety Specialist and play a vital role in fostering a safe and compliant work environment across our global facilities. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with our Corporate EHS team to develop, implement, and monitor safety systems and standards that safeguard our associates and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise will directly contribute to minimizing health and safety risks, ensuring adherence to regulations, and enhancing our safety performance worldwide.

Location: North Canton, OH - hybrid work model

Salary: $126K

Required Skills

• Over 7 years of safety management experience within manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated ability to interpret safety regulations and develop compliant tools and programs
• Proven success in leading safety compliance audits and assessments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills—both written and oral
• Ability to deliver large-scale training sessions and foster engagement
• Willingness to travel 10-20% as required
  
  

Nice To Have Skills

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
• Experience in industrial hygiene and exposure assessment
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards and auditing processes
  
  

Preferred Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health, Safety, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
• 7 years of relevant safety management experience in manufacturing settings
  
  

Other Requirements

• Ability to support industrial hygiene strategies including assessments of air contaminants, noise, and radiation
• Experience in managing chemicals and minimizing exposure risks
• A proactive approach to safety visibility, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement projects
• Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse and global teams
