Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services such as drug information, therapy monitoring, patient consultations, and healthcare staff education.
- Investigating and reporting adverse drug reactions.
- Participating in Medication Safety and Therapeutics Committees to evaluate drug usage requests and review formulary relevance.
- Acting as a resource for clinical pharmacists and healthcare professionals in resolving medication-related issues.
- Delivering continuing education to pharmacy staff and serving as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and students.
- Contributing actively to local and system-level initiatives relevant to clinical pharmacy.
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy, preferably with completion of an ASHP-accredited residency or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Less than 1 year of experience may be considered with appropriate training in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and drug interactions.
- Valid Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph) license in Ohio.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing systems is preferred.
