What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audiologist Hearing Instrument Specialist position at Staffing Proxy?
We’re looking for a licensed Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist who’s confident managing a diagnostic and hearing aid caseload independently. You’ll be backed by a well-established ENT team and supported by the resources of a larger organization—but still enjoy the feel of a local, small office.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform hearing evaluations and recommend personalized treatment options
- Fit, program, and manage hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Provide counseling, education, and follow-up care to patients and families
- Collaborate closely with the ENT providers to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold state and clinical standards
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Audiologist (Au.D. or M.S.) or Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) in the state of Florida
- Strong diagnostic and hearing aid fitting skills
- Excellent communication and patient counseling ability
- Comfortable working independently in a smaller clinic
- Professional, reliable, and committed to patient-centered care
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary starting at $70,000 commission (negotiable based on experience)
- PTO: 3 weeks to start; 4 weeks after 3 years
- Insurance: Health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability
- 401(k) with match after 1 year
- CEU & Licensing: Annual licensure and 2 professional memberships covered, plus CEU allowance
