Service Technician I and Maintenance Tech I

We are hiring for a Maintenance Technician and Service Technician needed for our electronic retail manufacturer located near Elgin Area. These positions requires customer service, technician, assembly and manufacturing experience. We are seeking individuals with experience recent in electronic manufacturing and maintenance technician entry level. Available positions: Maintenance Technician and Service Technician (job description is listed under Maintenance technician description) Maintenance Technician lPayrate: $25.00 per hourLocation: Elgin, ILShift: Monday – Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pmPosition Description for Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I: Troubleshoot and repair the facilities equipment to keep the warehouse running.Provide technical manufacturing support (electrical/mechanical) to assembly lines.Responsible for preventive maintenance on designated production equipment as specified in the PM Program or as required to ensure smooth operation.Position requires the candidate to install, repair, organize, maintain, adjust, modify, etc. production build fixtures, test fixtures, and various production equipment.Analyze mechanical and operational problems with equipment, plan and takes corrective action.Make necessary corrections and adjustments to maximize safe production and product quality.Create or construct projects from technical and mechanical information.Excellent soldering skills required. Ability to install and set up a variety of sensors, solenoids, and switching based on fixture requirements.Position Requirements:Basic understanding of electrical concepts and repair based on failure mode as required.Need to know how to turn on a computer but do not need any software programing or updating experience but it is a plus.Able to traverse and work on ladders and lifts overhead as needed.Ability to lift to 30 lbs. unassisted and 50 lbs. assisted Good interpersonal skills, able to work well under pressure.Able to work some extended hours and weekends as required.Maintenance experience required and Need to have hardware repair and mechanical Background to do this job.Excellent mechanical skills (pneumatics and calibration) and ability to work without supervision to resolve complex problems in a timely manner. Pneumatic and hydraulic hardware maintenance skills.Familiar with tool and equipment calibration practices.Preferred Education: Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronic Engineering TechnologyService Technician lPayrate: $27.00 per hourLocation: Elgin, ILShift: Monday – Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pmThis position requires using tools and power tools to complete repairs and other projects not limited to the following listed below:Troubleshoot Customization process and escalate to Engineering for additional support as required.Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical and RF test systems.Identify hardware and software issues that are potentially impacting the test or build process.Provide first level technical manufacturing support to multiple manufacturing assembly lines.Create, build and maintain test systems/fixtures.Must be able to effectively troubleshoot fixture issues to including pneumatics, mechanical functionality, software/pc triggered interaction.Excellent mechanical skills (pneumatics and calibration)PC software and hardware maintenance skillsPneumatic and hydraulic hardware maintenance skillsFamiliar with tool and equipment calibration practicesAbility to create or construct projects from technical documentation.Excellent use of hand, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic toolsAble to traverse and work on ladders and lifts overheadAbility to lift 50 lbs unassistedComplete other warehouse responsibilities in manufacturing technician department etc.Other Requirements:Good interpersonal and communications skills.
