Job Summary
We are hiring General Laborers to support food manufacturing and packaging operations. This role involves packing, repackaging, labeling, material handling, palletizing, and product rework while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and cleanliness.
Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform production line tasks, including packing, repackaging, recasing, and product rework.
- Maintain production flow while meeting quality and appearance standards.
- Prepare and replenish packaging materials and supplies.
- Verify product codes, dates, and labels for accuracy.
- Operate and adjust coding machines as needed.
- Stack and manually palletize finished products, including cases and pails.
- Lift, move, and handle cases and materials throughout the facility.
- Return unused materials to designated storage areas following proper procedures.
- Assist with product changeovers and equipment start-up and shut-down.
- Clean and prepare production equipment for the next shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies.
- Report production or quality concerns to the appropriate team members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and production procedures.
- Basic math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, humid, and noisy environments while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing for extended periods, repetitive movements, manual material handling, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Employees may work around production machinery and in varying temperature conditions.
