Equipment Cleaner / Industrial Cleaner
We are hiring reliable and hardworking Equipment Cleaners / Industrial Cleaners for a long-term, temp-to-hire manufacturing opportunity. This is a hands-on role responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining production equipment and work areas in a safe, compliant facility.
Available Shifts & Pay:
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM — $20.00/hour
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM–1:00 AM or until finished — $21.00/hour
- 3rd Shift: Schedule pending — $22.00/hour
Schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. Overtime is available.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment, production areas, and facility spaces according to company procedures.
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble fillers, pumps, transfer lines, mills, mixing equipment, and holding tanks.
- Prepare and safely handle cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Follow all GMP, safety, sanitation, and standard operating procedures.
- Complete sanitation logs, equipment status labels, quality documentation, and required paperwork accurately.
- Remove waste, manage recycling, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
- Assist mechanics during scheduled equipment cleaning and sanitation.
- Operate a tow motor/forklift as needed.
- Sweep, mop, remove trash, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Industrial sanitation, manufacturing, warehouse, production, or equipment-cleaning experience preferred.
- Experience in food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, chemical, packaging, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following detailed safety procedures.
- Forklift or tow motor experience preferred; must be able to pass a forklift evaluation if required.
- Must be able to stand, bend, crouch, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to safely move 45-gallon drums using proper equipment and procedures.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
