Inventory/Warehouse Operator III (Packaging Machine Operator)
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $20.50 per hour
Shift: Day Shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) Mon-Fri
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour schedule (2-2-3) with every other weekend required
Position Overview
We are currently hiring Inventory/Warehouse Operator III (Packaging Machine Operators) for a leading manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent potential for long-term employment and career advancement.
This entry-level manufacturing position is ideal for dependable individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and are interested in learning the blown film manufacturing process. Employees will package finished products, perform quality inspections, assist with machine operation, and support production activities.
What You'll Do
- Package finished products according to company standards
- Inspect products for quality and identify defects
- Perform quality control checks following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Operate packaging, rewind, and front-end winder equipment
- Label, shrink wrap, and prepare finished pallets for shipment
- Complete production documentation and run records accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Handle scrap materials and support the regrind process
- Notify supervisors of equipment or product issues
- Assist with production line coverage during breaks
- Help train new employees as assigned
- Follow all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds consistently, with heavier lifting occasionally required
- Comfortable working a rotating 12-hour day shift
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to measure length, gauge, and weight accurately
- Ability to visually inspect products for quality defects
- Basic computer skills for data entry and material management systems
- Experience using hand tools such as:
- Wrenches
- Screwdrivers
- Scrapers
- Tape measures
- Die gauges
- Micrometers
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with team members
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
