Responsibilities
- Lead students to strong academic growth and mastery of grade-level Common Core math standards
- Build and maintain a structured classroom culture rooted in respect, responsibility and accountability
- Study, practice and deliver daily lessons using the school’s established curriculum
- Revise lessons for clarity and rigor with support from instructional coaches
- Collect and analyze academic and behavior data to pinpoint student needs
- Collaborate with your team and coaches to solve challenges and improve instruction
- Actively seek out and apply feedback to strengthen your practice
- Middle school math teaching experience required
- Teaching certification is not required
- Experience in a high-performing charter or urban school strongly preferred
- Excellent work ethic and organizational skills
- Strong belief that all students can succeed, plus the drive to make it happen
- Must clear a background check and fingerprinting
