What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Engineer position at StaffBright?
Currently, StaffBright has a great Supplier Quality Engineer opportunity with a leading automotive Tier 1 manufacturer. We are seeking a driven and technically strong quality professional to join the team. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of automotive supplier quality experience, strong customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to independently manage OEM issues, warranty reviews, and cross-functional quality support across global teams.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Acting as the primary quality liaison between the company and North American OEM customers
- Conducting warranty reviews and managing internal quality tracking and documentation
- Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5Why, Poka-Yoke, and APQP tools
- Coordinating with manufacturing plants in Mexico and engineering/quality teams in Korea
- Gathering, analyzing, and communicating issue details across all stakeholders
- Supporting escalations and maintaining professionalism when handling sensitive customer situations
- Utilizing statistical quality tools to assess trends and validate corrective actions
- Ensuring timely responses and follow-through on all quality concerns
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to drive quality improvements
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–10 years of automotive supplier quality experience with strong knowledge of APQP, Poka-Yoke, 8D, 5Why, root cause analysis, and other core quality tools
- Experience supporting OEMs — experience with Ford, GM, or Stellantis is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to operate independently in a customer-facing setting
- Must come from an Automotive Tier 1 environment
