What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee the full accounts payable cycle — manage invoice approvals, apply coding, and process check runs.
- Prepare ACH transfers and wire payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate credit union fund transfers, generate supporting reports, and update Mortgage Accountant daily to finalize payoff activity.
- Review and reconcile closing disclosures for accurate general ledger integration.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendors, addressing payment inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and perform reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.
- Manage the mailbox, process applicable refunds, and oversee special check runs.
- Assist with audit readiness by organizing documentation and supporting external and investor audit processes.
- Provide cross-functional support within the accounting team and contribute to special projects or process improvements as needed.
What We Need From You
- Strong accounts payable experience, including managing invoice workflows, coding invoices, and printing checks.
- Solid understanding of account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
