JOB TITLE: Infrastructure Engineer

CONTRACT LENGTH: 5 months
PAY RATE: $24.66/hr (W2)
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Infrastructure Engineer supports core Digital & Technology (D&T) initiatives by ensuring stable and reliable IT operations across site systems and infrastructure. This role provides advanced technical support, maintains system uptime, and partners with global and local technology teams to implement solutions, upgrades, and new tools. The Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in operational excellence, security compliance, and seamless collaboration with business users and third-party vendors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Operations & Support:
- Provide 2nd- and 3rd-level desktop, systems, and network support for end users.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents and technical issues promptly, escalating when appropriate to minimize business disruptions.
- Ensure availability, reliability, and protection of critical site technology, including:
- WAN/LAN networks
- Servers and storage systems
- Printing and scanning systems
- Telephony/communication systems
Project & Change Management:
- Serve as a visible IT presence across site projects and initiatives.
- Manage and track IT changes, supporting project management activities as needed.
- Collaborate with global digital and technology groups to implement new tools, technologies, and upgrades.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Partner with external service providers and vendors to maintain business continuity.
- Coordinate site technology requirements across functional teams and stakeholders.
Security, Compliance & Standards:
- Work with compliance and security teams to uphold cyber, physical, and process security standards.
- Identify and escalate potential non-compliance risks.
- Maintain and promote technology standards, documentation, and best practices.
Hardware, Lifecycle, & User Enablement
- Manage hardware lifecycle tasks, including deployment, imaging, and replacement.
- Create onboarding materials, user guides, and knowledge transfer documents.
- Provide IT guidance to users to improve digital adoption and productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- OR Associate’s degree with 5 years of IT manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 1 year of professional IT experience.
- Intermediate proficiency with:
- Desktop productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, M365)
- Systems and network troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with project support or IT change management.
- Demonstrated ability to follow, maintain, and enforce standards.
Preferred
- Experience supporting IT within manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices, ticketing tools, and hardware lifecycle management.
- Exposure to global or multi-site technology environments.
