The Linen Service Specialist restocks, inspects, and transports clean linen carts throughout Florida Hospital facilities on a daily basis. The role includes collecting soiled linen from designated soiled linen storage areas and placing them in the designated location in preparation for shipment to the Laundry as per schedule.
This position adheres to all policies and procedures, including proper appearance standards set by Florida Hospital and the laundry department. The role actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful working relationships with all team members and departments.

Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates Florida Hospital core values: Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork
- Restocks all linen carts on assigned route within required timeframes using approved linen distribution equipment and accurately entering data into linen management software
- Counts linen items accurately and ensures proper inventory tracking
- Inspects linen carts and removes foreign items, torn, unfolded, or soiled linen
- Replaces reject linen bags and ensures adequate supply of soiled linen bag boxes in each cart
- Straightens remaining linen in preparation for restocking
- Patrols assigned work areas, picking up stray strings or dropped linen and placing them in proper containers
- Delivers empty linen carts to designated areas
- Reports linen shortages or issues as identified by staff or management
- Collects and transports soiled linen bags to designated areas in a timely and professional manner when assigned
- Safely maneuvers large bins and linen carts
- Adapts to staffing shortages and supports other areas or campuses as needed while maintaining quality standards
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure smooth departmental operations
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
