Print Operator - Custom Pre-press The Printing operator receives, prints and sorts incoming electronic standard and custom orders. *Should have prior experience working with computers to manipulate and organize electronic files. Prior experience with graphic arts programs preferred. Prior experience operating a MAC computer preferred, specifically Freehand and Illustrator programs. LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469POSITION: ContractPAY RATE: $23.00 hour Functions • Receives, prints and sorts incoming electronic standard and custom orders. • Locates and pulls archived proof sheets and matches to incoming orders. • Locates electronic order files and aligns to appropriate art templates, making minor adjustments as needed. • Outputs electronic file to appropriate plate making equipment. • Groups orders by stock, ink, color and quantity to ensure maximum printing efficiency and delivers to press-line. • Prints proof of electronic file and files for future orders. • Replenish, chemicals, plate material as needed. • Trouble shoot plate making equipment, escalating complex issues as needed. • Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications HS Diploma or GED Experience: Prior experience working with computers to manipulate and organize electronic files; Prior experience with graphic arts programs preferred.
