Specialty Team Assistant
The Staff of Life is currently looking for candidates for a Specialty Team Assistant. The Specialty area includes Cheese, Beer, Wine, and Antipasti, as well as some companion products. A flexible schedule is required for consideration, you must be available to work weekends and evening shifts. This opportunity is a great window into the world and variety of specialty food. Ideal candidates are eager to taste all the products we represent and should be able to convey the experience to our customer base on the sales floor. The primary duties for the position include;
Beer/Wine
• Stocking, stacking and rotating wine/ beer
• Lifting wine/beer cases (up to 50 lbs.)
• Dusting and cleaning (keep area looking professional /presentable)
• Provide excellent customer service with a warm smile
• Beer/ wine knowledge preferred
• Basic computer knowledge is helpful
• Completes duties assigned by Manager or Owner ASAP
• A team player with great attitude
• Takes Pride in his/her work
Cheese/Antipasti Bar
• Cutting and wrapping cheese.
• Quality control.
• Outgoing personality who is willing to approach customers to assist them with their selections.
• Receiving cheese deliveries.
• Stocking and rotating perishable products.
• Lifting cheese blocks and/or wheels weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Preparing cheese demos.
• Stock antipasti bar and keep it looking fresh and clean
• Assisting with other duties assigned by any manager
• Keeping Cheese area clean and sanitized
• Washing hands frequently before handling cheese/olives
And any additional duties as assigned by managers. We have many departments, but we are one store and all employees are expected to help out in all departments when help is needed. Employees will be cross trained in other departments when possible.
Specialty Team Assistant is not a supervisor role. Specialty Team Assistant is a specialized team member role which entails learning about department products and learning how to talk to Staff of Life shoppers about them.
