Job location: Sitka, AK 99835
Shift: 4X10, 7:30am-6:30pm, coverage will include weekends and holidays and call time
Weekly Hours: 40 hours weekly
Contract: 13 weeks

3 years Pharmacist experience Required
Alaska Registered Pharmacist License Required
Pharm.D. degree Required
CURRENT ALASKA LICENSE Required

Experience Requirements
- Experience reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness, legality, completeness, contraindications, drug interactions, allergies, and adverse reactions.
- Experience with prescription filling, dispensing, and verification.
- Experience providing patient counseling and medication education.
- Experience conducting chart reviews, prescription refills, and medication therapy management (MTM).
- Experience providing drug information and clinical consultation to healthcare providers and staff.
- Experience working with pharmacy software and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Experience with drug dosage calculations, IV/oral medications, and compounding.
- Experience working independently and exercising sound professional judgment.
- Experience working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Experience participating in quality improvement and clinical/administrative pharmacy activities.
- Experience complying with Federal and State pharmacy laws and regulations.
- For candidates with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree licensed before 2003: at least 3 years of hospital and/or ambulatory clinic pharmacy experience is required.
Pay: $3,550.00 - $3,950.00 per week
