Pay Rate: $3,300 TO $3,560 per week
Contract: Contract
Schedule: Day shift 10 hr shift
Experience: 3 years for qualifying Bachelor of Pharmacy candidates
Responsibilities
Review prescriptions for appropriateness, legality, interactions, allergies, contraindications, and relevant lab values.
Verify and dispense medications accurately and maintain required records.
Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare staff.
Perform chart reviews, medication therapy management, and clinical interventions.
Provide drug information and clinical consultation to healthcare providers.
Direct pharmacy support activities and educate pharmacy technicians and students.
Participate in quality improvement, medication inventory management, and pharmacy operations.
Requirements
Pharm.D. degree and registered pharmacist licensure required.
Unrestricted Alaska Pharmacist License required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
ASHP-recognized pharmacy residency preferred.
Candidates licensed before 2003 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree require 3 years of hospital and/or ambulatory pharmacy experience.
Current flu vaccination required.
