Our client, a growing manufacturer with a location in Tifton, GA is seeking an experienced Finance/ Cost Manager to join their team.
Duties Include:
- Evaluation of cost which includes raw material, freight, labor, and overheard. Based on results, work with
- commercial teams to drive changes in customer pricing to maintain product margins.
- Ensure proper cost and price valuations through accurate bills of material, and proper input in MRP system resulting in accurate reporting through BI and other sources.
- Work closely with commercial, operational, and other groups to guarantee proper margins and the use ofbest management practices.
- Management of personnel responsible for analyzing and updating cost and pricing.
- Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting to make sure proper margins are identified.
- Assist with month-end close duties, inventory management, and facilitating other key initiatives as
- assigned.
- Creation and oversight of bills of material, the development and setting of the standard cost for
- materials, labor and overhead; as well as, ensuring proper customer pricing.
Experience and Training Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, with a focus in Finance and/or Accounting. (Advanced degree or
- accounting certification will be given extra consideration)
- Three plus years of experience, or equivalent.
- Strong business and financial acumen in addition to proficiency with computers
- including word processing, Excel spreadsheets, presentation software, internet software, etc.
- Excellent business writing skills, high mathematical skills, and preferably experience with month
- end close processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Possess good interpersonal skills to work well with other people both internally and externally.
