Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Supervisor to lead our inbound logistics operations. In this role, you will oversee the receipt, inspection, and proper documentation of incoming shipments, ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. Your leadership will ensure safety compliance, optimize inventory control, and foster a productive team environment that supports our commitment to excellence in warehouse operations.

Duties

• Supervise daily receiving activities including unloading of incoming packages, managing the check-in process, and receive/sort/coordinate packages as needed
• Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to schedule deliveries and verify shipment accuracy
• Ensure all inbound items are inspected for damage and discrepancies, then accurately entered into warehouse management systems
• Lead team members in executing process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and accuracy in receiving procedures
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Support distribution center operations by collaborating with other department teams to streamline workflows and reduce lead times
• Train and oversee all employees of the receiving department
• Plan, assign, and direct work to team members
• Ensure satisfactory department performance
• Report IT issues to IT department and help resolved issues with check-in technology
• Document incoming package numbers by carrier
• Run daily reports to ensure any mis-shelved packages are found quickly
• Manage department's scheduling, timekeeping and time off
• Provide feedback to receivers as needed

Skills

• Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, and inventory management systems
• Strong leadership skills with proven team management and supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
• Deep understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and lean management principles
• Excellent managerial communication skills to motivate teams and coordinate cross-functional activities
• Experience working within e-commerce or 3PL (third-party logistics) environments preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 to 70lbs
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Basic computer skills
• High School/GED preferred
• 2 years warehouse experience
• 3 years management or supervisory experience

Compensation

Hourly: $26 - $29

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
