Job Description:
The Consolidator role is an extremely important warehouse function that requires both a sense of urgency and the ability to be very focused on details. The Consolidator contributes to Stackry’s mission by accurately combining basic to complex orders of multiple packages and securely packaging products for shipment. The role of the consolidator also protects the company against risk by analysing all items in each package to ensure they are properly classified for shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring completeness of each order
- Consolidate orders consisting of multiple packages for shipment
- Inspect packages for hazardous materials or prohibited items
- Identify and mark all items designated as hazardous or prohibited appropriately
- Correctly package and mark any packaging for items identified as hazardous
- Package all items according to customer instruction
- Ensure all items are packaged in secure packaging and in a way to protect them against damage
- Keep working area clean, organized, and stocked with packing materials
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 to 70lbs
- Ability to stand for eight hour shift
- Ability to read and understand orders and corresponding documents
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge or experience with hazardous materials
- Prior experience packing orders
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting
Compensation:
- Hourly: $20 per hour
