Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Chef based in Evanston, IL. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, develop creative menus that align with the restaurant’s brand, manage food preparation and presentation, and ensure quality and consistency in every dish. Responsibilities also include training and supervising kitchen staff, managing food inventory and costs, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and fostering a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including recipe development, menu planning, and food presentation
- Experience in managing kitchen staff, training team members, and supervising daily operations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and inventory management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to create innovative dishes and ensure consistency in food quality
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a professional kitchen, preferably as a Head Chef or equivalent
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is a plus
- Passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Fluency in the Spanish Language required
