Position Summary
Pallotti High School is seeking a Boys Varsity Soccer Head Coach who is responsible for helping to overseeing the Boys Soccer program, along with supervision student-athletes and recruitment of future student-athletes. The Head coach will execute effective teaching and coaching techniques to help student-athletes optimize their athletic skills, attitude, and be expected to build upon the successes of the program. The candidate must constructively collaborate with students and adults in a positive manner, display and promote sportsmanship, and demonstrate a commitment to Pallotti. The candidate is also expected to uphold and promote the mission and core values, while also following the rules of both the Athletics Department as well as St. Vincent Pallotti High School and the MIAA/IAAM Leagues

Pallotti’s coaching position includes the following Responsibilities:
- Establish uncompromising community presence, behavior and academic integrity relative to the St. Vincent Pallotti Mission
- Maintain upkeep and inventory of all team uniforms, apparel and equipment
- Create and maintain a culture of sound fundamental teaching and respect of the game and ensure that this philosophy is emulated by each coach or volunteer who is associated with the program under the head coach.
- Market and promote St. Vincent Pallotti’s Boys Soccer program in the community. Work with the Director of Athletics and the Admissions Office in a professional manner to provide outreach to prospective student athletes
- Support student’s efforts to pursue additional athletic opportunities
- Work alongside the Athletic Director and College Counseling Office to support students who are recruited or interested in playing sports at the Collegiate level
- Know, disseminate and enforce all rules and regulations of the school’s athletic conference and the Pallotti Student Handbook, ensuring adherence by all assistant coaches and students to all rules and procedures
- Attends all appropriate meetings associated with the athletic program of the school
- Share responsibility for monitoring the eligibility of all the students participating in the Boys Soccer program in conjunction with the Pallotti Counseling Office
- Along with trainer, work consistently to maintain “current” required annual physicals, medical certification and parental consent for all students participating in the soccer program
- Responsible for the proper reporting of all athletic injuries and/or other incidents at events under their supervision
- Report regularly to the Director of Athletics
Job Requirements:
Experience
- · 2-3 Years of coaching experience and/or playing experience at the Collegiate level
- · Knowledge of basic sports medicine is preferred, but not required
The ideal candidate will possess/be:
- Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills, including problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Must be able to pass the background check and fingerprinting requirements, drug test, CPR, and Online Training
- A fundamental understanding of the sport, rules within the sport and how to help develop athletes
- A respectful attitude towards other faculty and staff, referees, and other community members
This is a part-time position.
Compensation is $3500/per year. Priority given to candidates residing in the DMV area, as we are unable to assist with any relocation expenses.
