What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at St. Vincent Early Learning Center?
The Director of Operations serves as a member of executive leadership, responsible for St. Vincent Early Learning Center's business functions, processes, and infrastructure which support all operational systems, including enrollment, human resources, finance, and technology, facilities, and food services.
Finance and Accounting
- Work closely with Accounting Vendor to prepare monthly closing and Financial Reports
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of accounts and variance analysis to explain changes
- Assist with coordination of annual audits and prepare required information
- Responsible for all organizational procurement
- Track spending compared to the operational budget
- Track spending compared to individual program and grant budgets, as needed
- Develop and implement accounting process improvements, as needed
- Serve as lead staff to Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees
- Inform and provide recommendations to the President/Executive Director for policies and practices
- Support and advise the President/Executive Director in decision making
Human Resources
- Oversee strategy for recruitment, hiring, and onboarding
- Oversee benefits administration
- Oversee and implement performance management
- Responsible for the payroll process, including reporting and analyzing variances
- Develop and implement retention strategies
- In cooperation with the President/Executive Director, responsible for regulatory oversight and legal compliance with all applicable labor laws
- Write revision recommendations for HR policies
- Oversee Worker’s Compensation delivery
- Serve as lead organizational advisor for discipline, performance improvement, and other supervisory needs
- Create and update job descriptions, annually or as needed
Enrollment Management
- Oversight of the enrollment process for all families and children
- Create and implement policies and procedures, forms, and agreements
- Responsible for SVELC Scholarship Program distribution and tracking
Facilities Management
- Manage business insurance, including monitoring and management
- Responsible for project management process for repairs and maintenance of systems and equipment
- Oversight for all Preventative Maintenance routines, including scheduling and completion tracking
- Information technology: ensures ongoing maintenance and updating of information systems and infrastructure, including hardware and software applications
- Oversee housekeeping and maintenance staff and vendors, ensuring smooth daily operations of physical building and equipment
- Manage building security through relationships with vendors, cameras, and key fobs
- Manage relationships with the Delaware Center tenants
Food Services Management
- Oversee food services management, including planning, meal preparation, service, and cleaning
- Responsible for CACFP contract management, audits, reporting, and compliance
- Approve all food and food supply equipment purchases, oversight of inventory tracking
- Approve all menus
- Facilitate training for all staff, annually and during the onboarding process
General

Pay: From $72,500.00 per year
