What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Sorter position at St Vincent de Paul?
JOB SUMMARY:
At St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho, our thrift stores help fund our social services – including our emergency shelters, Father Bill’s Kitchen, and free shower and laundry facilities. You will play an important role by sorting product, pricing, tagging, and hanging donated goods to support our mission to provide direction and services supporting individuals and families in North Idaho needing assistance to enrich, fortify, and rebuild their lives with dignity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sorting through the clothing and checking for wear and stains.
- Price items to be sold based on guidelines relative to the condition and brand of the item.
- Unload the incoming trucks when needed.
- Keeping the warehouse and work area clean and picked up.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Retail experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Must be able to bend, lift 25 lbs, and stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

Stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, grasping, talking, hearing, heavy work (exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally), reading detail work confidently, confidentiality, problem solving, training, math, reasoning, verbal communications, written communication, effective listening, customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks, interruptions.
