Summary
This position is vitally important to the university’s overall enrollment goals. This role is responsible for increasing inquiries, applications, and enrollment confirmations while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student records and application materials within the Admissions CRM (Slate). The admissions advisor will be responsible for recruiting prospective students by representing the university at in-person and online events, and through text and email.
Essential Functions
- Counsel prospective students on their application status, financial aid, and programs.
- Offer supportive communication to address the concerns and questions of prospective students.
- Guide students through the decision-making process related to university life.
- Implementation of new social media platform, Zeemee, to engage prospective students.
- Creatively differentiate and represent university to international and domestic students.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately manage data from Slate and campus systems.
- Ability to process applicant documents and materials.
- Ensure the flow of high-quality data from Slate to other campus systems.
- Ability to change course when needed.
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree required–bachelor’s degree preferred. Business/marketing or related a plus.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Experience working in a college admissions office preferred.
- Creativity and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Primarily M-F 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional early/late evening events, and weekend.
- Office environment with occasional campus events
- Mobility and occasional lifting required.
Travel
- Occasional recruitment to represent the university at events and fairs as needed.
