Job Overview:
As a Fitness Instructor at St. Pete Calisthenics, you play a pivotal role in providing dynamic and engaging workouts to our members. Your primary responsibilities include keeping classrooms tidy, creating challenging yet enjoyable fitness routines, and maintaining a luxurious ambiance at all times (music selection, lighting, tone of voice etc.). Additionally, you will offer proper form feedback and assistance to members during classes, promoting their success and safety. For additional opportunities for hours to increase your overall earning potential, Fitness Instructors may co-apply for positions as Cafe Team Members or Spa Attendants.
Main Gym Opens at 6am
Fitness Classes begin at 6am, so the first instructors should arrive at 5:45 to prepare for class.
Responsibilities: arrive 15 min before your class time
1. Classroom Tidiness:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in fitness classrooms before, during, and after classes.
- Ensure all equipment is properly stored at the end of class, and the workout space is welcoming and luxurious in appearance.
2. Dynamic Workouts:
- Design and lead engaging fitness classes that cater to various fitness levels and goals.
- Create workouts that challenge members, promote a positive atmosphere, and ensure an enjoyable experience. Make your members sweat, smile and succeed; simultaneously.
3. Luxurious Ambiance:
- Focus on providing a high-end and luxurious ambiance during classes, contributing to an elevated member experience.
- Pay attention to details such as lighting, music, and overall class atmosphere.
4. Member Engagement:
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages member participation and enjoyment.
- Interact with members, learn their names, and motivate them to reach their fitness goals and ensure they leave each class feeling accomplished.
5. Feedback and Assistance:
- Provide constructive feedback to members regarding form, technique, and modifications as needed.
- Assist members with regressions or progressions, ensuring a safe and effective workout experience for all.
6. Cross-Application Opportunities:
- Instructors interested in additional hours can co-apply for positions as Front Desk, offering a chance for diverse responsibilities and higher earning potential.
Qualifications:
- Certified Fitness Instructor with a recognized accreditation (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, ISSA).
- Previous experience leading fitness classes, preferably in a group setting.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Passion for creating challenging and enjoyable workouts.
- Ability to tailor workouts to diverse fitness levels and goals.
- Provide a fun and engaging experience!
