Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Administrative Assistant at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Worth, TX. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative activities, answering phone calls with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining church records, coordinating schedules, and providing administrative support as needed in a team base enviornment for our GROW Ministry. St. Pau'sl Grow Ministry includes leadership development and programming in areas focused on growth-focused discipleship for people of all ages, as well as the pastoral and Christian care needs of the congregation. Grow Ministry includes: St. Paul Kids, Youth (Middle & High School), College/Youth Adult, Adult and Care Ministry (Pastoral & Christian Care, Guest and Membership Assimilation).
The purpose of St. Paul Care Ministry is to ensure that all those within the congregation are cared for in the event of a physical, financial, emotional, or spiritual crisis in their life that would require additional care from the congregation or pastoral staff.
Position Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and performance of tasks
• Demonstrate character of high integrity exercising strict discretion and confidentiality
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration with Grow and Care team and all St. Paul staff
• Provide administrative support for all:
o Grow programming and events at the downtown campus
o Care Ministry initiatives, including triage and connection processes for Care needs
o Guest tracking and onboarding efforts
o New member processes, events and assimilation protocol
o Small group ministry needs (Journey Groups)
o Weddings administrative support
o Funerals administrative support
• Ensure all Grow and Care events/activities are accurately placed on the church calendar and are kept up- to-date within established protocol led by the Business Office Manager
• Assist with programming and event promotion in accordance with established communications protocol
• Assist Business Office Manager to ensure completion of current background checks and protocol for all
volunteers that connect with Grow ministry
• Administer and maintain the Church membership database with protocols established by the Ministry
Support Department
o Consistent collection and recording of Grow programs and event attendance/participation activity
o Maintain complete accurate records of all individuals and families that connect with Grow ministry
o Produce attendance/participation data as requested by staff leadership
• Provide general office support for the Grow and Care team, including maintaining office supplies,
printer/copier oversight, etc. in collaboration with the Business Office Manager and established protocol
• Aid in facilitating ongoing connection and collaboration with all St. Paul staff and ministry areas
• Serve as a backup Welcome Desk Receptionist as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma with multiple years of related experience
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
• Organized, creative thinker and highly productive, working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation and Schedule:
• Hourly; Non-Exempt
• Up to 40 hours per work week
• Core work hours are generally Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
o Occasional work hours will be require on some Sundays, weekend or evening hours for special
events
