Summary/objective:
In this position, you will use your analytical skills and process improvement experience to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry. At St. Onge Company, you will have opportunities to grow professionally and contribute to the design of healthcare facilities that deliver the highest level of patient care; our clients include world-renowned medical institutions. Our work is project-based and involves healthcare facility design, process improvement, and inventory replenishment system assessment, selection, and implementation.
Essential Job Functions:
As a member of the Healthcare team, you will work with other talented Engineers, Project Managers, Directors, and client teams in the design of hospitals and medical centers, supply chain operations, and clinical process improvement. You will use proven, practical, data-driven industrial engineering techniques to support and validate the creative, ground-breaking principles of cutting-edge hospital design.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assist with Engineer/Analyst data training.
- Serve as a reference for Engineer/Analyst.
Experience Requirement:
- 2 years of job-related experience.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous improvement
Education Requirement:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical facility environment, conducting cost analysis, layout design, or inventory analysis.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Computer Skills:
- Strong analytical experience related to complex supply chain resources and plant operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate, cleanse, and analyze customer data to identify opportunities for improvement and support recommendations.
- Assist in developing project deliverables, including presentations, narratives, and other required project outputs.
- Coordination may be required with a project analyst(s), or other similar roles on the project.
- Supports the research of equipment and other applicable systems and technologies, as requested.
- Assists in supporting the improvements of existing proprietary tools & models.
- Assists in training analysts on internal processes and procedures related to tools & models. Other training support may be required.
- Support the review of data analyses for analysts.
- Perform other duties assigned by management, as requested.
Work Environment:
Primarily a controlled office environment. Client sites could consist of hospital environments or warehouse operations, and conditions may vary.
Physical Demands:
St Onge Company operates both hybrid and remote office options. Client site visits may include walking tours of the hospital support services and patient care areas. Projects may entail lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
Travel is client-dependent and typically ranges from 10-15%. Travel will vary from project to project. Travel may be extensive at times and less extensive at other times, and may include occasional overnights. Travel may be local car travel, regional train travel, or domestic or international Air travel.
