Hourly Rate: $22.00.

Essential Job Duties
- Provide specialized advising and mentorship to support the operations and business development of the student-run kitchen within the Lion’s Pause.
- Strengthen student leadership by coaching student managers in food safety, customer service, financial decision-making, and operational best practices.
- Develop consistent, replicable resources and systems that improve business viability, risk management, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a local industry expert bringing small-business management, culinary knowledge, and practical operations experience to students.
- Serve as an active resource and advocate to student organizations and student leaders as requested.
- Provide general support and coaching to students who visit the OSA.
- Advise student leaders in budgeting matters, financial procedures, fundraising efforts, and event planning processes.
- General responsibilities.
- Invest in the professional development of self and team through various means.
- Assist in the management and troubleshooting of relevant software.
- Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
- Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Reports to the Director of Student Activities.
- This position supervises student workers.
- Education:
- GED or equivalent work experience
- Experience:
- 2 years of professional or related experience in business/restaurant management.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience:
- 4 years of professional experience.
- Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check which may include: criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical. Whether a background check is deemed successfully completed will be at the sole discretion of St. Olaf College.Please note, St. Olaf College reserves the right to conduct periodic background checks at its sole discretion.
