Security Officer (Unarmed)
Location: Cumberland, MD
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | On call Weekdays
- 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
We are currently seeking professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Security Officers to join our team at a well-maintained, highly regulated commercial facility in Cumberland, Maryland. This position is ideal for individuals who are customer-focused and comfortable working in a structured, compliance-driven environment, with the ability to start ASAP.
REQUIREMENT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
- An ACTIVE/CURRENT Maryland Guard Card is REQUIRED
- Applicants MUST possess and maintain a valid MD Guard Card
- Candidates without a current guard card will NOT be considered
Available Shifts:
Full-Time (Monday–Friday):
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Part-Time (Saturday & Sunday):
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets
- Monitor premises through patrols and surveillance systems
- Control access points and verify credentials as required
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports
- Provide professional customer service while enforcing site policies
- Operate and navigate security-related technology and systems
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Guard Card (REQUIRED)
- Prior security experience highly preferred
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- CPR / First Aid certification preferred
- Must be tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
