Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Parkersburg, WV
Schedule: Monday and Friday 12am-7am / Saturday and Sunday 12am-8am
Pay Rate: $12.24 per hour
About the Position
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and observant Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage at a professional facility. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong situational awareness, clear communication, and the ability to remain calm and effective during both routine duties and unexpected situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the facility during overnight hours.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and general activity to ensure safety and policy compliance.
- Conduct regular patrols to detect safety hazards, suspicious behavior, or unauthorized activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies following established procedures.
- Complete accurate daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel and security leadership.
- Uphold all company procedures, confidentiality requirements, and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior security experience preferred; military or law enforcement background a plus.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Ability to remain alert, composed, and attentive throughout overnight shifts.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand, walk, and conduct foot patrols for extended periods.
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
