School Security Officer (Unarmed)
Location: Paradise Valley, AZ
Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed School Security Officer to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors in a school setting in Paradise Valley, AZ.
The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, strong observational skills, and the ability to interact positively with students and faculty while maintaining a secure campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor campus grounds and school facilities
- Control access points and verify visitors
- Conduct routine foot patrols throughout the campus
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unsafe or unauthorized activity
- Respond to incidents and assist with conflict de-escalation
- Collaborate with school staff and administration
- Write detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Follow all school policies and security procedures
Requirements
- Active Arizona Unarmed Guard Card License (required)
- Prior security experience required
- Experience in a school or educational environment strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a school setting
- High level of reliability and professionalism
