Location: Woodbury Common Premium Outlets — Central Valley / Woodbury, NY

Status: Unarmed | Suited Position
Schedule: All days, including weekends & holidays | 1 PM–9 PM
Pay Rate: $21.42 per hour

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced, polished, and highly professional High-End Retail Security Officer to join our team at the renowned Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. This role requires exceptional customer service, strong situational awareness, and the ability to present a confident and welcoming presence within a luxury retail environment.

Requirements

• 10 years of security experience, preferably in high-end or luxury retail environments
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand 10 hours per shift
• Active NYS Guard Card (required)
• Previous bouncer experience a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Must be 21 years of age or older (per legal or contractual requirements)
• High school diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
• Satisfactory attendance and punctuality
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus
• Military experience a plus
• Neat, professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong ability to deliver quality customer service
• Ability to handle typical and crisis situations effectively and professionally

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and detect suspicious activity, criminal acts, or policy infractions at or near assigned posts
• Serve as a visible security presence and deterrent to crime and rule violations
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, and potential threats
• Report and document all incidents, accidents, and medical emergencies accurately and promptly
• Maintain a professional, polished appearance in the assigned uniform
• Arrive on time and complete all shift assignments, including overtime if required
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Execute all post orders and enforce client and company policies, rules, and regulations
• Provide outstanding customer service to guests, clients, and retail staff
• Handle crisis situations calmly, confidently, and efficiently
