Armed Security Officer

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 8:15 AM until the last customer leaves (typically between 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM). Schedule varies daily.
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Armed Security Officer to provide security services at a designated location. This position requires a valid ACT 235 certification, previous armed security experience, and the ability to maintain a secure and safe environment. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with shifts ending once the last customer leaves, so daily hours may vary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and Monitor: Ensure the safety and security of the premises by conducting regular patrols and monitoring for suspicious activity.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, security breaches, or incidents, using force as needed and in compliance with company policies.
• Access Control: Manage and monitor access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed entry.
• Customer Interaction: Provide assistance and security support to customers, staff, and visitors while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Surveillance: Use surveillance equipment to monitor activities and prevent security incidents.
• Report Writing: Document incidents, activities, and security checks in clear and detailed reports.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure your firearm, holster (Level 2 or higher), duty belt, and all security equipment are in good working condition.

Requirements:

• ACT 235 Certification: Current and valid ACT 235 certification is required.
• Armed Security Experience: Previous armed security experience is required, with a solid understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Firearm and Equipment: Must have your own firearm, Level 2 holster or higher, and a duty belt.
• Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Professionalism: Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and a thorough understanding of security procedures.
