About the Role:
As the Director of Housekeeping, you’ll oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness, infection control, and resident satisfaction. This leadership role requires a hands-on manager who can train, support, and motivate a dedicated team while maintaining regulatory compliance and budgetary goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff across all budgeted shifts
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local infection control standards
Order and manage inventory of supplies and equipment
Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and quality
Collaborate with nursing, maintenance, and administration teams to support overall facility goals
Provide staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
Strong understanding of infection prevention and sanitation protocols
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage budgets and control supply costs
Knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, OSHA, state health departments)
