Working under the supervision of the Director of Recreational Therapy Services (DTRS); provides assistance in planning, organizing, staffing directing and executing therapeutic recreation programs and experiences based upon individualized assessments, designed to improve each child’s social, cognitive, physical and emotional abilities. Coordinates and manages staff including team leaders, DSP 1s and DSP 2s. Follows a person-centered model of care to assist individuals to participate fully and meaningfully in their daily routines at the Home and in the community. The RS I assumes certain duties and tasks of the Director of Recreational Therapy Services in the absence of that individual.
