Hours Per Week: 0-hour/week
Hiring Range: $17.00- $22.74
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
- Makes rounds on the unit looking for items needing attention.
- Straightens utility rooms, linen rooms and pantry as needed.
- Assists with meal service, passing trays, and clearing of tables.
- Makes beds and tidy up rooms. Passes out clean linen.
- Assures ice water is available on the units.
- Answers call lights and perform non-nursing duties – reporting to nursing when resident needs hands-on assistance or care from a licensed nurse.
- Screens visitors.
- Responsible for miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to push carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
- Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Climb stairs, reach above or below shoulder height.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to get along with residents of various cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Provides prompt and efficient assistance.
- Must treat residents’ information as confidential.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
