Hiring range: $ 19.70 - $25.81
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
- May draw and collect blood samples according to policy.
- Receive, process and transport specimens.
- Verify all related records
- Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness and infection control procedures.
- Attaches, connects, and operates electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electrocardiograph machine.
- Reviews patients record and instructs patients prior to procedure. Monitors patient during procedures and reports and abnormal findings.
- Identifies and corrects artifacts. Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation
- Maintains Phlebotomy and EKG equipment and supplies.
- Assist as needed with obtaining height, weight, and vital signs.
- Transfer patients as needed to Medical Imaging department.
- Performs clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, data entry, chart preparation and filing as needed
Education, Training & Experience: High School diploma/Ged required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in EKG and/or phlebotomy preferred.
