Hours per week: 40 Hours per week

Hiring Range : $35.25- $47.18

Below are the shift differentials based on eligible shifts worked:

• Weekday evening shift - additional 10% plus $2.00 per hour
• Weekday night shift - additional 15% plus $3.00 per hour
• Weekend day shift - additional 10%
• Weekend evening & night shifts - additional 21%

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body. • Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination. • Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency and develops film in an automatic processor. • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). • Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. • Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Education:

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required

Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the New York Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
