Position Summary:
Galaxy Food Center is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Produce Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with the receiving, stocking, rotating, and merchandising of fresh fruits and vegetables while ensuring product quality and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and rotate fresh produce to maintain product quality and freshness.
- Assist in unloading and organizing deliveries.
- Clean, cut, and package fruit for display and grab-and-go offerings
- Monitor produce for signs of spoilage and remove unsellable items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the produce department.
- Assist customers with product selection and provide excellent service.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous grocery or produce experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
