Job Description
Position Title: MAINTENANCE WORKER
Reports To: Facilities Manager
FLSA: Full-time, Non-exempt

St. Mary’s Parish is a vibrant Catholic congregation located in Historic Annapolis, Maryland serving over 5,000
families. St. Mary’s Parish includes St. Mary’s Church, St. John Neumann Mission Church, St. Mary’s Elementary
School and St. Mary’s High School.
Purpose: St. Mary’s is seeking a Maintenance Worker who will be responsible for the maintenance,
cleanliness and repair of the Parish, school facilities and grounds. Performs a variety of routine
maintenance and minor repairs including carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks. This is a 40
hour/week position. Some overtime might be required and ability to be on-call for emergencies outside
of normal work hours as determined by supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and repair of facilities as directed by
- Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance including painting, carpentry, minor
repair.
- Perform general custodial duties including trash removal from grounds and buildings,
- Maintain campus grounds by cutting grass, weeding, removing leaves, clearing
- Perform a variety of cleaning and system maintenance and repair duties. (e.g. replace
- Set up tables, chairs and other physical items for events and break down the same items
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must posses a valid state driver’s license with no more than 3 current points.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in maintenance, grounds maintenance and
janitorial care required.
- Ability to lift in excess of sixty pounds independently is required. Ability to stand, walk,
required. Ascend and descend ladders as needed.
- Ability to complete all necessary paperwork.
