Cardiac Rehab Technician

The Cardiac Rehab Tech assists patients with performing cardiac

rehabilitation functions to facilitate patient cardiac fitness.

Participates in process of assisting the patient with cardiac risk

factor reduction.

**Essential Job Functions:**

• Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursues
  
  

professional growth and development.

• Under the direction or the medical director and the DNS, assists in
  
  

determining progression of exercise program.

• Anticipates need for repair of equipment and orders maintenance
  
  

parts

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within
  
  

the field

• Assists with conducting exercise therapy session in a safe
  
  

professional manner

• Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne
  
  

pathogens

• Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at
  
  

all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.

• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
• Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in
  
  

writing and on telephone.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of heart rate rhythms.
• Knowledge of blood pressure.
• Previous experience in a related medical field is preferred.
