Educare Aide
Part-time (2:30 pm - 5:30 pm) Start date: August 31, 2026
St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a part-time Educare aide for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Essential Functions:
- Supports the St. Mary Catholic School mission
- Supervise and monitor children at all times
- A team player with good conflict-resolution skills
- Presents a professional demeanor
- Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing meaningful daily activities
- Assist in setting up the environment (indoor/outdoor) for the activities of the day
- Manage student behavior effectively as provided by the ELC Director
- Support an environment that promotes the Student Learning Expectations of St. Mary Catholic School
- Prepare students to develop self-discipline, interpersonal skills, personal values, respect, and inclusivity of others
- Provide information to families concerning Extended Day program activities and services
- Clean and organize classroom after activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- STARS Certified or willing to be certified upon hire
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain within first 30 days)
Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Excellent communication skills with both parents and children
- Understanding of children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Love and patience for young learners
- Organizational, planning, and implementation skills
- Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds
Pay & Benefits:
Starting pay is $17.13/hour; offered pay is based on diocesan-wide pay for certain positions, internal equity, market data, applicant’s skills and relevant experience, degrees and certifications.
This position is eligible for employee-paid 403(b), state-paid medical and family leave, and sick leave.
