St. Martin’s Episcopal Church is seeking a full-time Lay Minister for Student Ministry to provide dynamic leadership for Middle School and High School students. This role plays a key part in shaping a vibrant student ministry focused on worship, discipleship, fellowship, and outreach, while supporting students, families, and volunteers in their spiritual growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee Middle School and High School students, including weekly gatherings, classes, retreats, mission trips, worship, and special events.
- Build meaningful relationships with students and families and advocate for their spiritual formation.
- Recruit, train, and support adult volunteers and ministry staff.
- Collaborate with clergy and church leadership to align student ministry with the mission and values of St. Martin’s.
- Provide leadership for the Acolyte Corps and participate in worship services as needed.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to the Christian faith as affirmed by the worldwide Anglican Communion.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Ministry, Christian Education, or related field).
- 3–5 years of relevant student ministry experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as ministry needs require.
